Embodied Care Basics
Trauma Recovery Meets Sustainable Wellness
A 3-hour healing-centered CEU training for therapists, coaches, and wellness professionals
Healing Body, Mind, and Spirit Through Sustainable Wellness
This is more than a training.
This is a coming home to yourself—so you can hold space for others with deeper presence, clarity, and ease.
If you're a provider who’s been:
✦ Holding space for everyone else, but craving space for yourself
✦ Feeling stuck around how to support clients with body shame, eating distress, or trauma
✦ Longing to practice in a way that feels more liberating, nourishing, and aligned with your values
Then Embodied Care Basics was created with you in mind.
Sustainable Wellness and Liberation-Centered Care for Black Women
Traditional approaches to healing body image and eating struggles often miss the mark — especially for Black women.
Healing isn’t about control. It’s about coming home to the body, reclaiming wellness on your own terms, and creating practices that sustain liberation, not exhaustion.
Embodied Care Basics is a foundational training for therapists, coaches, and wellness practitioners ready to shift from treating symptoms to facilitating deep, embodied healing.
Through the Embodied Care framework — rooted in Awareness, Attunement, and Alignment — you'll learn how to help Black women reconnect with their bodies, build sustainable wellness practices, and liberate themselves from harmful narratives about worth, care, and success.
This training is not just about learning techniques; it's about becoming an embodied practitioner yourself — someone who inspires sustainable healing by living it.
You’ll leave this training prepared to:
Integrate somatic practices and body trust work into your clinical or wellness approach
Support Black women in healing body narratives through sustainable, liberatory care
Redefine wellness as a lived, sustainable experience — not a performance or project
Move beyond pathology models into culturally responsive, liberation-centered practice
It’s time to move from treating symptoms to nurturing sustainability.
Be embodied — and guide others to do the same.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
Define Embodied Care and describe its application in promoting sustainable wellness practices for Black women healing from trauma.
Identify the cultural, historical, and systemic factors contributing to body disconnection and disembodiment in Black communities and examine theoretical frameworks that support these contexts.
Apply the Embodied Care framework to help clients build body trust, redefine nourishment, and create sustainable care practices.
Incorporate evidence-based, experiental and somatic-based tools and practices that support sustainable healing, including grounding, movement invitations, nourishment practices, and rest integration.
Shift from a pathology-centered approach to a liberation-centered, culturally sensitive model of care that honors the whole person’s lived experience.
Meet your Trainer & Guide
Breah Robinson, LCSW, RYT-200
I'm Breah — a licensed clinical social worker, executive wellness coach, and founder of Embodied Care Wellness.
My work is rooted in the belief that healing is not about perfection, it's about returning to the wisdom of the body, honoring our lived experiences, and creating care practices that are actually sustainable.
For over a decade, I’ve supported high-achieving Black women, therapists, and wellness professionals in healing their relationship with their bodies. My approach is grounded in Black liberation psychology, Womanism, and somatics because our healing must honor both the individual and the collective.
I created Be Embodied because I saw a gap in how we’re taught to support body image and food-related concerns. Too often, the work focuses on control and symptom reduction — not care, connection, and cultural context.
This training is my offering to the next wave of therapists and wellness leaders — a space where you can reconnect with your own body, deepen your clinical tools, and offer your clients more than just coping… you’ll offer them the possibility of coming home to themselves.
I’m so honored to walk this path with you.
